We first made the connection with @bambustation (Virgin Islands) in 2012. We’ve been long time fans of their music through out High School and their albums were on repeat along with many other V.I. Artist (Midnite, Niyorah, Dezarie, Pressure, Tuff Lion). The Virgin Island movement was very alive through out the worlds festival circuit and especially in Hawaii.
It seemed like a dream that we were offered a 17 show run with the band from Seattle to San Diego, Vegas to Denver. While a dream for us, the band was expressing that this would be their last tour. We soaked up every minute as students. Bambu Station band (Jalani • Vocals
Tuff Lion • Guits
Katalyst Riddim • Keys
Swamp Guinee • Drums) members did not hesitate to reason with us every night and share their journey and thoughts on the state of Reggae Music. If u get the chance, look up Inna Vision / One Island Tour on YouTube and watch the webisodes we released. The New Mexico episode especially touches on our connection.
This song “Push Over” has been years in manifesting and the perfect vibe for us to connect on. While Bambu Station does not tour or play live anymore, this is a perfect example on music living FOR IV A. Thank you Jalani for sharing your gift to the world and being featured on our new album.
“Push Over” OUT NOW!
